Star of the Week

Week 3 is now over! Our 'Star of the Week' is Zac.

Zac is a great role model, sitting quietly on the mat and concentrating on his learning. He also settles to his work quickly and quietly. 

Thank you Zac, it's great to have you in Room 13.

*The school fair is coming up and we need your help. Room 13, along with Rooms 1 and 2, is responsible for the Toy Stall. If you can help with either sorting toys as they come in and/or on THE day (Sunday 31 October). If you can help, please let me know.

*Room 13 needs paint shirts. If you have any old adult's T-Shirts you no longer need, we'd appreciate them. 

*Remember our library day is Monday.

Week 3

Today we had a school assembly. Two Room 13 people received certificates:

Ka pai to Bailey who is a great listener in class and Lance who completes his work to 'Triple Star' standard. Thank you Bailey and Lance, you are great role models to have in Room 13.

I have enjoyed meeting with many of you over the last few days. It has been great to hear how you feel your child has settled into their new room. I am delighted with how everyone has adjusted to different routines and am really enjoying being with your children, thank you.

We continue to learn new Maori kupu (words) and waiata (songs). We are all getting better at our pronunciation. Ka pai. On Friday we will be doing some more Maori art.

We also continue to write fantastic stories - check them out under each child's name on the right.

Gemma's Story

Soon it is my birthday and there are only five more days until my birthday. For my birthday I am getting a bike. Then in the afternoon me and my Mum will go to Hannah's party. I am excited about it.
